Medicare Rebates

Medicare rebates are available for clients who are referred by their GPs under the Better Access to Mental Health Care Rebate. To be eligible for a Better Access to Mental Health Care Rebate you will need to consult your GP, psychiatrist, or paediatrician and obtain a written referral to Lifepath Psychology. They will complete a Mental Health Care Treatment Plan that will need to be brought to your first appointment.

A Mental Health Care Plan entitles you to access upto 10 individual and 10 group sessions in a calendar year. This enables an initial 6 sessions and extra 4 upon a review with your GP per calendar year. There is an added gap fee on top of the Medicare rebate.

  • The Mental Health Care Plan must be completed before the first therapy session. Please ensure you bring your referral and Health Care Plan plan to your first appointment.
