At Lifepath Psychology, we are committed to keeping the gap between Medicare rebates and our fee as low as possible for clients attending with a valid referral and Mental Health Care Plan.

We have adopted the following practices when pricing our services to maintain affordable access to Mental Health Care :

Clients referred by their Doctor under the Better Access to Mental Health Care Rebate, with a current referral letter and Mental Health Care Treatment Plan:

This small additional gap fee enables our clients to access high quality comprehensive mental health care services for a modest contribution.

According to Medicare, it is up to the discretion of each health professional as to how much gap they charge clients.  At Lifepath Psychology our fees are well below the industry standards to ensure that clients that need our service the most can afford it.

You may not have realised that before and after your consultation with you, your psychologist will spend additional time supporting you.
They write notes, prepare letters/reports to the referring GP and other health care professionals if required. They liaise with other services when necessary, and answer telephone calls about your well being.

Managing all these services for you is included in the consultation fee.

Private full fee client:

The current cost of each 50min session is as follows:

• Individual counselling with Mental Health Social Worker $157.30
  Individual counselling with Registered Psychologist $168.35
  Individual counselling with Clinical Psychologist $212.05
  less any rebate you may be entitled to from your private health insurance
• Couple/Family Therapy $220.00
• Group Therapy $ 50pp

 

Lifepath Psychology is a ‘No Cash’ practice.
Fees are payable at the time of consultation.
All payments are processed instantly via Eftpos, Medicare, and DVA.

Workers Compensation and Motor Vehicle sessions are charged at the Workcover/Riskcover rates.

Hypnotherapy is discussed at a free 10min session.
This session is used to gauge your suitability for hypnotherapy.
