Mirella Wilson – Registered Psychologist
Mirella (pronouns: she/her) is an empathetic and grounded Registered Psychologist and educator with experience working with adolescents and adults presenting with a range of mental health issues, who values honesty, integrity, and authenticity.
Mirella works to create a safe, open, and collaborative environment where clients are accepted and feel comfortable, so that together they can explore ways to best work through what has brought the client in. To do so, Mirella utilises a holistic, strengths-based therapeutic approach, working from a person-centered focus to support client change.
Mirella uses techniques from a range of evidence-based therapies including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing, and solution-focused therapy.
Her areas of interest include: gender identity exploration, sexuality, anxiety (e.g., panic, social, generalised), depression, self-esteem, personal development, and stress management.
